Le hipster parmi les brasseurs de bière artisanale est clairement Benedikt von BlechBrut : avec une casquette sur la tête, des designs d'étiquettes tendance et du style dans la canette, BlechBrut est en fuite. Dès le début, la brasserie Bamberg Gypsy brassait sa bière dans les salles sacrées de la brasserie traditionnelle Camba à Gundelfinden. Néanmoins, BlechBrut se démarque assez clairement de ce que produit la brasserie de location. Le simple risque de revendre de la bière en canette est un argument de vente unique à une époque où les canettes sont plus synonymes de bière bon marché que de grand plaisir. Blechbrut contrecarre cette réputation avec des étiquettes minimalistes, des noms créatifs et d'excellentes bières.

Vent frais dans le chaudron
Blech.Brut s'engage à donner un nouvel élan à la tradition de la bière poussiéreuse. L’industrie brassicole vieille de plusieurs siècles a besoin de jeunes visages pour faire entrer la bière dans le nouveau millénaire et dans l’esprit (ou l’estomac) des nouveaux consommateurs de bière. L'ambition de Benedikt est d'élargir les horizons des buveurs de bière franconiens, de leur donner un regard au-delà de leur propre nez et d'élargir leur perception de la bière. En bref, avec BlechBrut, il veut bouleverser la scène brassicole franconienne et internationale d'une manière élégante et artistique et offrir aux buveurs de Schlenkerla une alternative branchée.
Ambiance internationale
Benedikt Steger, à la tête de la marque Blechbrut, a décidé après quelques semestres d'essai dans divers programmes d'études et après avoir pris conscience de l'importance de gagner sa vie pour gagner sa vie, d'officialiser sa passion pour la bière. À Mönchsambach, il apprend le métier de brasseur et de malteur. À Berlin, Londres et Paris, le brasseur accompli a goûté à la grande ville et a appris tout ce dont un futur avant-gardiste de la scène brassicole aurait besoin. Il noue de bons contacts et fait la connaissance de brasseurs déjà connus. C'est ainsi qu'il rencontre Enzo Frauenschuh de la brasserie Camba, qui lui offrira plus tard un foyer, lui et son projet. Steger envisage de travailler avec des artistes et des illustrateurs à l'avenir pour rendre justice à son concept, l'Art Brut, l'art spontané et brut des amateurs.
